"Oath Cover Art" The 02/02/2010 release of Davidoth's latest EP "Oath" marked the twelfth release by the group since there 1999 start. This latest album focuses on ambient, airy and atmospheric themes. The album features much more outside influence than past Davidoth recordings with Ed Anton on the track "Oceans" and Chaitan Rao on the tracks "I Like Confessions", "Prismatic Star", and "Out".
Dave has said that "Oath" contains parts of the now believed defunct "Dream Lake" project. The album features a much more downbeat vibe than past releases, full of Piano and light airy synths. It is available here for you to listen to, minus just one track. on Last.FM (I Like Confessions will be uploaded soon, just having some issues with it at the moment.) And remember, all sales from "Oath" will be going to the American Red Cross - International Relief Fund. You can purchase "Oath" here.
Track listing:
001. In
002. Ambivalence
003. I Like Confessions
004. Oath
005. Oceans
006. Rush Of The Wind
007. Prismatic Star

American Red Cross Logo In an announcement on his blog today, Davidoth front man Dave Radcliffe announced several bits of huge news for there upcoming release Oath, due out 02/02/2010.First Dave stated that 100% of the Sales from Oath would be donated directly to the American Red Cross - International Relief Fund. (www.redcross.org) Dave said that watching the recent events in Haiti caused him to rethink allot of things."--- And the entire situation has made me realize just how good I have it. How lucky I have been thus far in life, and I have been counting my blessings."Dave then went on to describe how the ideology behind Oath, an album about honor, duty and service also helped him come up with the idea."So I have decided that I am going to donate 100% of the sales from Oath (after the distributor's fee of coarse) to the American Red Cross - International Relief Fund. This is probably not going to be allot but, I think that the whole ideology that Oath is based on would make this decision a good one. Oath is about Honor, Duty, Service and a yearning for peace within ones self. And I feel we need to do more and give more where we can."
Dave also pointed to a quote on CNN that inspired the decision.
"We have run out of IVs and IV needles and IV fluids," said Dr. Mark Hyman of the medical relief organization Partners in Health. "We've run out of surgical supplies. We have to wash with vodka, and we have to operate with hacksaws because we don't have enough operating tools."
Dave said the release is still being wrapped up and said that it would be released 02/02/2010 through ReverbNation and his ReverbNation store. Oath will be the first Davidoth release to come with a 4 page booklet and some new, advanced packaging goodies.More details will be released as they are available.

"Final Oath cover art" In a recent post on his blog, Davidoth front man Dave Radcliffe dropped a host of bombshells about the upcoming effort from the group, due to release 02/02/2010. Including the finalized cover art for Oath.According to Dave, the recording process "Took on a life of it's own." and the EP he had finished two months prior - is being torn down and rebuilt in a mad rush of creativity sparked recently. Dave now says:"Me, Chaitan and Ed are busting balls to finish songs I didn't even conceive two months ago. --- It's starting to look like Oath might end up being a full length album instead of just an EP..." Dave also credited the box office masterpiece 'Avatar' for inspiration, and claimed that the band is working on a tribute track titled 'Na'Vi'. Dave also announced that he is working on some exclusive tracks for the gentleman's website AlphaSwagger.com.
